Services & Rates
Taaffeite K9 Training is located in the beautiful Samford Valley 4520 on four acres that has been fenced and designed specifically for dogs (swimming spot included). With a large, undercover area and all the necessary training equipment on site, your dog will love attending training sessions and boarding. If you need in-home training sessions, trainer Jess Kaddatz will also come to you.
General Boarding
Have your family pet be part of our family while you’re away. Boarding with us includes:
– Free play
– Private, Air conditioned kennel
– Appropriate bedding with or without crate
– Regular toilet breaks
– Swimming and dog play for those social butterflies.
– Age and Breed appropriate Royal Canin and Prime 100 Food.
– Regular photo and video updates are also included!
$58/night off peak. $70/night peak.
*No drop offs or collections available
Sundays or Public Holidays
*Two nights minimum
*Drop off and collections outside of regular hours incur a $20 surcharge
Lodge & Learn
We’re able to work with your dog on a vast amount of common problems, including reactivity, grooming, leash walking, car chasing, crate training, aggression and more. Have a perfect dog but don’t want them getting bored? We can also teach tricks and dog sports! Lodge & Learn also includes:
– Free play
– Private, Air conditioned kennel
– Appropriate bedding with or without crate
– Regular toilet breaks
– Swimming and dog play for those social butterflies.
– Age and Breed appropriate Royal Canin and Prime 100 Food.
– Regular photo and video updates are also included!
$99/night off peak. $113/night peak season.

Grooming
We have a hydro bath, blow dryer and extensive range of plush puppy products on site. Stays longer than 2 weeks receive complimentry grooming. All dogs staying with us “get to be dogs” on acreage, so, we encourage short stays to have grooming done before going home. For $70 we will bath, blow dry, nail clip, clean ears and trim those “grinch feet”. We can also express anal glands for just $15 extra.
$70/dog for stays under 2 weeks. Free for stays over 2 weeks.
Day Away
Have a new baby or new job and your active dog is needing a day out of the house? Jess will come and collect your dog for you, take them out for structured play and socialising and drop them home for you. Service areas North Brisbane Only.
$160/day. Includes transport, professional and kind handling. Prime 100 food and treats. All required toys and equipment.
Agility Intensive Workshop with Sharyn Palmer
Tunnels, Weaves, Jumps & Contacts
We have your agility work list covered in the jam packed, fun & supportive intensive agility workshop.
With over 30 years training and successfully competing across multiple dog sports, Sharyn Palmer can help you troubleshoot any sporting issues you and our dog may be having.
All levels are welcome, but your dog must have good off lead control, a decent “stay” as well as good food or toy drive.
Human Morning Tea & Lunch included. This 7 Hour Workshop is held only a handful of times per year. Please see the link below for the next available.
$260 inc GST per person, per dog.
Private Lesson at Taaffeite K9 Training
Great for those dogs and handlers that require a more tailored approach to training, or those that want faster results.
We can cover obedience, behavioural concerns, conditioning and sports.
There is no limit to the number of dogs per lesson- you can even bring a friend and split the costs.
Sessions are 1.5 – 2 Hours Duration.
$120/session & can be split amongst up to 3 friends.
Trick Training Intensive Workshop with Jess Kaddatz
All levels of dog and handler are welcome to join this 7 hour course planned around your dog’s ability, not as a group.
We will complete a theory component (with a take home booklet). During this time, we will explain to you how to utilise operant conditioning and the reasons behind using a clicker to clearly communicate with your dog.
You will complete this rewarding workshop with a practical understanding of operant conditioning, positive training methods and be able to go forward and continue to train your dog in trick work on your own. This will in turn lead to a better relationship between yourself and your dog. By completing these fun activities with your dog, you will also see the many benefits behind exercising your dog’s brain and not just its body.

Freestyle Frisbee Group Class
Suitable for all levels and temperament of dog.
Working one at a time, we’ll cover all elements required for a freestyle frisbee routine. From retrieving a frisbee to hand, to vaults and dog catches, you and your dog are guaranteed to advance your skills and have fun doing it.

FaceTime Consultation
FaceTime Lessons are available for clients that have trained with us before or have specific tricks or sports that they need assistance troubleshooting. This service is not suitable for new clients or complex behaviour issues.
$80/session.
Intro To Agility Group Class
Come and join a welcoming group of like minded people that enjoy spending time with their dog!
We cover all foundations to start you on your agility journey and often host
intensive workshops with Agility Pro, Sharyn Palmer.
Whether it’s for fun or fun and competing, we will work with you towards achieving your training goals!

About Us
Jess Kaddatz has a long history of loving and training dogs, from a child teaching her first cattle dog to jump over a broom and run through “tunnels” made of chairs, to performing in front of thousands of people with her current stunt and trick trained border collies.
Jess has been a member and breeder with the ANKC since 2012 and a Qualified Veterinary Nurse since 2011. She has spent her career learning from some of the best across multiple fields, including behaviour vets, specialists, dog trainers, instructors for obedience, flyball, agility, freestyle frisbee, lure coursing and circus performers. She considers herself lucky to have been able to help hundreds of dogs and their humans due to the extensive knowledge she’s learned from positive only and balanced trainers.
With a keen focus on building a strong bond with your dog, Jess will tailor a training plan that will fit with your lifestyle and personal training goals by teaching you to Train the Dog In Front of You.
